Styling Tips from our Lilydale display homes

16-01-2023

If you are looking for home styling inspiration and the latest luxe interior design trends, you need to step inside one of our display homes.

Today we’re sharing the design tips and advice behind our newly opened Positano 45 and Pavilion 33 homes on display at the Kinley Estate, Lilydale.

Our expert design team has shared the curated collection of finishes and final interior styling elements so you can replicate these new Arden looks in your own home.

Positano 45

Style: Natural Sophisticated

Colour Palette: Neutral hues ranging from whites and creams to warm beiges

The Natural Sophisticated look in our Positano 45 encompasses a harmonious light and warm colour scheme, incorporating various shades of white, beige and neutral tones. Our design team has taken some inspiration from minimal Scandinavian and Spanish design elements with understated matt and natural textures featured.

Here are our top tips for recreating this look:

  • Elevate a white kitchen with a curved profile island bench featuring a scalloped front panel, which adds softness & an organic feel.
  • Select tone-on-tone joinery and handcrafted tiles for the splashback.
  • A natural matt Caesarstone benchtop in varying tones of beige & pale grey provides a timeless and subtle textural variation.
  • Brushed nickel tapware’s warm underlining tone complements the neutral colour palette and adds an unexpected touch of luxe.
  • Curved timber grain rangehood joinery works well with this interior scheme as it seamlessly ties back in with the timber flooring.
  • Natural oak timber flooring laid in a herringbone pattern subtly draws the eye, adding to the sense of space in rooms.
  • Full-length curtain sheers add another textural element while filtering natural light.
  • When it comes to finishing touches and décor, add interest and detail to the neutral colour palette by layering a combination of white, cream and beige floor rugs, throws and cushions in varying textures. Nickel accents used for tapware, feature lighting, furniture trim and accessories create elegant points of interest throughout the home.

Overall, keep the colour palette and materials natural and beautiful. The Positano’s signature interior scheme is sophisticated, warm & inviting – everything you want and need in a home.

Pavilion 33

Style: Mix of mid-century and contemporary

Colour Palette: Grey, muted jewel tones of green, teal and burgundy, black and walnut brown

The interior of our Pavilion 33 has an undeniably timeless appeal. Signature clean lines, organic and manmade materials, and a bold, eclectic mix of colours, patterns and textures define our designer’s current-day interpretation of the mid-century modern style.

Here are our top tips for recreating this look:

  • Terrazzo is one of the biggest interior design trends at the moment, and the Pavilion’s grey-tiled terrazzo floor with warm flecks provides the ideal canvas for the home’s interior.
  • Warm walnut timber grain cabinetry and furniture featuring clean lines add an element of organic simplicity, contrasting beautifully with the flooring.
  • Select a broad mix of patterns, colours and textures for natural and manmade upholstery, tiling, wallpaper and decorative homewares.
  • Soft furnishings in muted greens & burgundy work back with the mix of black window frames and walnut woodgrains.
  • Splashback finger mosaic tiles in grey pared back with the rangehood cabinetry and terrazzo flooring add contrasting texture and pattern – the signature elements of Pavilion’s interior style.
  • Striking black window frames bring the outside inside, along with indoor plants in bold-coloured planters in hues of green, burgundy and gold.
  • Walnut feature batten lighting is a must-have and a focal point as it follows the curve of the island bench cabinetry.
  • White matt benchtops with subtle grey veining are elegant and timeless, complementing the terrazzo flooring and the kitchen’s overall colour palette.

Overall, the Pavilion’s colour scheme is unpretentious, relaxed, playful and fun – the iconic design elements are sure to be appealing now and for years to come.
