As our customers’ needs change, we’re committed to changing with them. It’s becoming more and more evident that demand for sustainable, energy-efficient homes is increasing, and so we’re adapting our standard inclusions accordingly to provide you with a range of comfortable, beautiful, and efficient new homes in 2021.
Our ongoing goal is not only to provide our customers with the best value in standard inclusions, but to look at ways in which we can improve the sustainability of our offering too – that’s why we’re really proud of the way we’re kicking off this year, by introducing some elevations to our already industry-leading standard inclusions in order to renew our commitment to affordable luxury and sustainability for every Arden customer.
Here’s what’s changing from January this year:
Energy Saving Solar
We’ve teamed up with the good folks at Bradford Energy to make solar panels a standard feature on every Arden Home to help you gain control of your energy bills and reduce your environmental footprint. We’re also proud to also offer an optional upgrade to the Tesla Powerwall 2, for those wishing to store their solar energy for use during evening peaks.
Hebel render
If you like the clean modern look of a rendered home, you’ll be delighted to know that Hebel render is now offered as a standard inclusion across both our Lumina and Aspire ranges. Not only is this an aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional brick, products like Hebel have excellent insulation properties, allowing you to feel comfortable all year round without it costing a small fortune.
LED downlights
The gold standard for energy efficiency when it comes to interior lighting, LED bulbs use around 85% less energy than their standard halogen counterparts – and they’ll now be included as standard in every Arden Home. Alongside their superb energy efficiency comes improved longevity, with the standard life of an LED bulb averaging between 10,000 and 15,000 hours.
Double glazing to windows
Double glazed windows are shown to reduce heat loss or gain in your home by up to 30%, meaning that it’ll be more cost-effective than ever to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. From January 2021, we’ll be including double glazing as standard to windows in every Arden home.
COLORBOND® steel roof
Improve the thermal efficiency of your new home with a COLORBOND® steel roof now included as standard in every home in our range. The low thermal mass of steel means that it cools quickly once the sun is off it, meaning greater comfort at lower cost on those hot summer nights. Available in a range of colours, COLORBOND® steel makes a striking addition to the exterior of your home, while improving its efficiency and overall value.
Our goal is always to surprise and delight you with the value of our inclusions – but you deserve to be able to choose an option that is as sustainable as it is impressive, and at Arden, we view sustainability as a way of life – not just another box to tick. We’re confident that our new standard for sustainable inclusions [in conjunction with our commitment to recycling build materials and minimising waste] puts us head and shoulders above the rest.
