Recreating the style of an Arden display home

02-07-2021

Some of the most common questions we receive are about the styling of our display homes, so we thought we’d give you some tips for recreating some of our most popular styles in your own home.

This week, we’re taking a look at our display homes located at Eliston Estate, Clyde, and each of the styles represented.

Bargello 42MK2- Eliston Estate, Clyde

Style: Modern Natural

With its stylish yet relaxed feel, the Modern Natural style is designed around clean, finishes and muted neutrals. Whitewash timber complemented with earthy tones and soft furnishings in natural textures brings a welcoming, relaxed feel to your home.

Tips for creating the look:

  • Use neutral tones and natural textures to create a sense of calm, complemented by colourful decorative pieces in organic shapes
  • Introduce bolder neutrals like terracotta and tan in feature cushions and artwork, and make use of textures like wool boucle, tan leather and linen
  • Use matte finishes and whitewashed timber joinery, adding texture with a subtle timber grain
  • Wide board oak timber floor with matte grey wash finish, using soft muted grey tones in carpeted areas
  • Add some contrast with soft white matte Caesarstone benchtops featuring subtle veining offset by matte black tapware
  • Level up your kitchen island bench with a mix of timber and stone

Sienna 28 – Eliston Estate, Clyde

Style: Sophisticated Industrial

Industrial interiors are often associated with being a little rough around the edges – but sophisticated industrial style takes everything we love about industrial design, and uses mid-century references and a combination of materials and textures to provide a layer of elegance and polish. A minimalist, monochromatic backdrop provides the perfect canvas for you to bring warmth and texture with rich, plush velvets and bold jewel tones.

Tips for creating the look:

  • White walls, concrete-look floor tiles and black timber grain laminate provide a strong but neutral backdrop to add texture and colour
  • Introduce colour to your monochromatic palette with your choice of artwork – you can use bold colours here to add warmth to your space
  • Experiment with bold jewel tones like dark green, navy, plum and mustard to contrast black joinery
  • Incorporating rich, plush velvets and woven leather can introduce both warmth and texture to the space
  • Brass detailing offers a visually satisfying contrast with cool, moody greys common with industrial interiors
  • Consider a pale textured rug which will not only help will soften the space, it can also make it feel more homely and comfortable

We’ll be updating the blog with more styles from our other display homes in due course, or you can check out our Fittings and Fixtures guides for the detailed selections of every Arden display.
